Recently, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis reporting invited Larry to participate in its gateway panel, Global Goods, Local Costs. See: http://pulitzercenter.org/global-goods-local-costs

While he was in Washington, Larry also presented a selection of photographs from his longterm project on child labor at the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University and met with students at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Virginia. The students were bright and engaging and eager to learn about current affairs and world events. As Larry notes, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s storytellers. It’s encouraging and exciting to meet with young people who are aware and engaged.” For more on Larry’s work featured by  the Pulitzer Center, see: http://pulitzercenter.org/reporting/philippines-compressor-gold-mines-child-labor-mercury-pollution-dangerous-accidents-economy
